FAQ
Q. Is trimming the wick really necessary?
A. Yes. You need to trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn. This helps to prevent carbon build up and sooting, and prolongs the life of your candle.
Q. Is there a minimum burn time for a candle?
A. Yes. You should burn your candle until the melt pool (liquid wax) reaches near the edges of the jar. Doing this will help to prevent tunnelling.
Q. Is there a maximum burn time for a candle?
A. Yes. Three to four hours is the most you should burn your candle at one time - burn out is a thing!
Q. Why is there black stuff on the inside of my candle jar?
A. This is called sooting. Usually due to a wick that has not been trimmed low enough or a candle that has been left burning a bit too long. You can wipe it off with a damp cloth once your candle jar has cooled. Try trimming your wick.
Why does scent matter?
Smell is so important. It can energise us or relax us. It can take us back in time, inspire us, or create a cosy sense of nostalgia. Just as we design our spaces with furniture, colours and textures that we feel reflect who we are, the smell of a space can be instrumental in setting the tone. We love experimenting with different scents and love coming up with something special. Whether it is for your home, your workplace or your event we are sure you will find your new favourite here!
